You Don't Mess With Ms. Grier

My young teenage cousin asked me a simple question and I must admit I was not ready for it. He simply asked me," Who Is this lady named Pam Grier?"

I must tell you, I instantly got upset and began to school him real quick on who she was and still is. Once I finished my class on the Icon that is Ms. Grier, I began to show him various movies and videos that she has been in.

I quickly found myself instantly caught up in the beauty and talent of Ms. Grier. There are many actresses who have the ability to make you forget who they are and cause you to imagine the characters to be real and Pam is one of them.

Pam Grier has done that over and over again with her takes on legendary blaxploitation films that include: Foxy Brown, Friday Foster and Jackie Brown later on in life.

Her portrayal of no-nonsense women in positions of revenge and power often provided relief to those who followed her career. She recently released her autobiography of her tumultuous life entitled "Foxy: My Life in Three Acts" and I am itching to read all of it.
