Be Sure and Get Some Good Sleep
Studies published in The Journal of the American Medical Association and The Lancet suggest that sleep loss may increase hunger and affect the body's metabolism, which may make it more difficult to maintain or lose weight. Here at a few truths about a good night sleep:
1. Don't go to bed feeling hungry, but don't eat a big meal right before bedtime.
2. Exercise regularly, but no sooner than three hours before bedtime.
3. Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol in the late afternoon and evening.
4. If you have trouble sleeping at night, don't nap during the day.
5. Establish relaxing Pre-sleep rituals, such as a warm bath or a few minutes of reading.
6. Create a pleasant sleep environment. Make it as dark and quiet as possible.
I recently realized that having a comfortable bed is just as important as the type of linens to use on your bed. I have purchased two beds in past year and every time I purchase a new one, I get better sleep than ever before. Check out these beautiful selections for your bedroom and get you some good ideas.
