Rashni Pinckney- Forseeable Role Model/Legend

The sound of a sewing machine, the extension of a measuring tape and the imagination of a determined designer is being shaped for the future. The designer has great plans for the future and has a portfolio of the work that he has done and is poised to add more to his collection. He has been gifted since conception and knows that his steps have been ordered by the lord.

Life has been good for him but not without some challenges that would stifle the weakest person. Many have tried to place him in a box and make him to go with the flow but he stood his ground and continued to flourish knowing that he would make inroads in life.

These words ring true for Rashi Pinckney, a talented and humbled fashion stylist who has blazed his own path and is doing it on his own terms. Never one to hold his feelings inside, Rashi has single handedly worked his way into branding his own style and has strategically incorporated it into society.

Imagine being able to see your influence around your family members and friends, he can often be seen giving style tips to various friends as well as perfect strangers. That housewife in Neiman Marcus, who couldn’t decide on the right accessories, benefited from Rashni’s assistance on the summer day and was influenced to think out of the box as well. You can often catch him in the stores, boutiques and in the fashion books looking for more inspiration to enhance his vision.

I had the opportunity of catching this Stylist on the Move and I found him to be forthcoming and transparent. Let’s take a look at how he remains focused and on point with his vision,

Mr. Pinckney, how are you?
I am great Darian, thanks for asking and thanks for considering me for your site.

My pleasure my brother, I am always looking for positive Role Models and you fit the bill.
Thanks so much. I am doing my part and remaining focused.

Absolutely, tell our readers where you hail from?
I am from the great city of Baltimore, Maryland, born and raised.

Being a person who is always on the go and living in another state. How important is your family to you?
My family is extremely important to me, they're the reason that I wake up every day and do what I do, without them I wouldn't have made it this far.

Being in your field can be extremely stressful. Share with our readers how you handle stress?
Well it’s funny because this industry is very stressful and wouldn’t you know it, when I’m not stressed, I get Nervous. To deal with it, I have to channel it and I allow the stress to drive me in a certain way. In a sense I love it, because it pushes me to work harder to get the job done and that in turn raises the bar on my work.

How do you handle those who say you are too free?
Well, I respect their opinion and realize that is how they feel but I carry on.

Yes! I love that. Tell us, how do you deal with criticism? Good and Bad?
I love Criticism; it comes with the territory in this Industry. When I first started, I wanted everyone to love and like my Work but I soon realized that was very Unrealistic. Now I use criticism to better myself and better my Craft. However I don't let it dictate my Morals or beliefs.

Do you have any plans to be a mentor to anyone in your field?
Yes! I actually plan on starting a Fashion Camp for Teens who have a desire to get into the Fashion Industry. I’m also in the process of developing a fashion program at my Old high school in Baltimore. I want people to realize that Fashion is just as much a part of the Arts as Music and Theatre. I also currently mentor two interns a year, they work under me and I show them the ins/outs of what I do.

That’s it, I love that. Empowering others in your field. What are you plans for the future? Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
My future plans are endless; there is so much I want to do, from writing a few books to development. I would also love to get into writing and producing for television projects.

I eventually want to do what Tyra Banks accomplished and transition my Fashion Career into a Multimedia Empire. I think that TV sucks right now and I would love to get into producing Quality television and bring back shows that send positive messages. I want to build my brand and be able to work in any part of Entertainment that I choose.

Lastly, tell us about your future plans regarding your boutique and other ventures.
My Boutique will open Early 2011, in Atlanta, Georgia and I am extremely excited. It will be launching online this summer and I will start out with just Women's items. Eventually, I will open a sister store that will Carry Men’s apparel as well. We will specialize in exclusive, one of kind pieces that you will ONLY find in our store.

My future endeavors would include flag ship stores in Miami, New York, L.A and London. What will set us apart from other stores is that we will specialize in creating looks for our customers. They can come in and get hair and make-up consultations as well as make clothing purchases. We want to sell a Total package to our clients and not just a Dress or pair of Shoes.

As for other Ventures, I am working on a million other projects besides my own, including being the Creative Director for an Urban Clothing line. As For everything else, I have to leave a little bit of Mystery, but I can say, I've only just begun. I know without a doubt that my destiny is to be a Mogul point blank. I am not stopping until that Destiny is fulfilled..... So Stay Tuned!

Rashi Pinckney is a determined, innovative and focused individual who is leaving his mark on this world one style at a time. That makes him a Foreseeable Role Model/Legend- He can see his future clearly and we are confident that he will make it!

I am so proud of Rashi and the great man he has become. He was not one of the many who grew up in Baltimore and decided he would not venture out. I wish him much success in his future endeavors and I hope to one day be one of the many that will be able to enjoy his Retail Stores!!
