Anyone Feel Like Stepping?

Imagine being at a wedding ceremony and it is simply breathtaking. From the flowers, tuxes and beyond, it all seems whimsical in a way. You know that if the ceremony was nice then the reception will be a just as amazing.

You finally make it to the site of the reception and on comes the music. Being a dancer, you can't help but get to grooving and you know it. You attempt to keep your cool knowing that you are simply a guest but you can't control yourself. The music gets serious and before long they are playing the Chicago titled "Stepping Music" and you must get on the floor.

The person I am speaking of is myself and man let me tell you, I love Stepping music. It is something about this style of dancing that literally makes you thankful to have legs to move. It is a Legendary form of movement within Chicago and beyond. Being from Louisiana, I was not raised on it but boy when I got the steps down right, I was locked in.

Check out these vids of various examples of stepping. I think you will enjoy them but careful now, you may want to try it. Don't trip your knee up doing the complicated moves.




Even the Iconic Beyonce Knowles incorporated some of the moves into her live show and as usual she showed perfection and class.
