We Must Not Forget The Lost Ones

In today' society, it is important to leave a lasting mark on as many people's lives as one can. There is actually a generation of young people that many feel are already lost and their is no need to reach out any further. The young people of today are facing various plights such as: Teen Pregnancy, Drugs, Molestations and the like.

Somewhere in the world, there is a young girl who has just faced a family member who has attempted to destroy her personal visions for her life and she is on the edge of throwing in the towel.

If only she had someone who could encourage,empower and motivate her continue to strive for the best that life has to offer her. The encouragement could cause the dreams that are dying around her to flourish yet again. Little does she know that there is a role model who has chosen to reach those of her kind.

The Lost Ones Foundation, Inc. is an independent non-profit organization established in 2009 by Tameka Raymond which serves an alienated, marginalized community of young women who are often ignored, set aside, disregarded or ultimately dismissed as “The Lost Ones”.

Seeing a need to make a difference in the lives of young ladies who may not have empowering situations around them, Tameka hand selects each girl after reading several dozen essays submitted from the candidates.

They are mentored and encouraged on a intimate level in such areas as:
You are – Beauty
You Are – Health
You Are – Proof
You Are – Virtue
You Are – Style

Girls will choose from the following fields:
•Hair and Make-Up
•Fashion Styling/Fashion Show Production
•Photography

Lately, Tameka has been the victim of a well calculated and slanderous attempt to tarnish her reputation as a Role Model to society. While it is unfortunate that these series of events have taken place, I am more than confident that the next retreat will be a life changing and empowering time. My grandmother always said,"Whenever you are impacting society or the world, the world will begin to retaliate but you must continue on."

I myself am preparing to donate to this wonderful cause and you should as well. For a minor gift of $1000 or more, you can gift each young lady with full meals, transportation,hotel accommodations and activities for five full days. In my opinion it is imperative to give to this great cause by looking at it as a KEY investment due to the fact that these are future Legends, Icons and Role Models.
