Sarah Joy Brown ~ Claudia Zacchara ~Layered Character

It is the early morning and this blogger is warming not only his feet but his imagination. In a time where many are addicted to reality television, daytime and nighttime scripted television has suffered a bit. During my upbringing, it was always a joy to see various actors and actresses fully embrace their characters background and emotions.

I find it a fantastic when a person can embody a role and make it their own and before you know it, you have forgotten their real name. One actress in particular who can do it with smooth transition is that of Sarah Joy Brown.

This three time Emmy Award Winning actress came on the scene in the late nineties and she hit the ground running. Her portrayal of troubled runaway Carly Corinthos allowed her to chew up the scenery on the long running daytime soap opera General Hospital.

This bloggers favorite character was that of Claudia Zacchara on the same soap and boy was she just as good. Many actors can't go back to the place they started and create a completely different character but Sarah did.

This layered character was full of many emotional sides but what I found to be interesting was Sarah's keen ability to show her vulnerable side, all while keeping her a bit emotionally disconnected.
