I can still remember my grandmother stating that there are angels on earth and beyond. One person who was considered our musical angel is none other than the late Aaliyah Haughton. She was beautiful, talented and possessed a smile that lit up the screen.

Today is Aaliyah's birthday and we salute her for paving the way for artists out today. From television appearances to movie premieres, she always seemed to possess a charm that not many people possessed.
