LIRM Style Spotlight ~ Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis - Timeless Fashion

This style spotlight is one that I take joy in posting simply because this individual style is still in effect even today. I can still remember being a sixth grader and reluctantly doing a paper on the late Iconic President John F. Kennedy.

The late president had many accomplishments and his untimely death at the hands of assassins still is up for discussions today but something else stood out as I researched the ramifications of his death.

More Kennedy style spotlight after the click of the LIRM

Not only is the President's memory forever seared in our memories but First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy's sense of style put her in a class all by herself.  This late fashionista began her fashion trek as a young woman of society attending various banquets, premieres and coming out parties.

Even as her husband became the leader of the United States of America, she was silently forging a style name for herself. It was after his untimely death that Mrs. Kennedy decided to raise her two children out of the glare and limelight of the paparazzi.

Remarried and widowed once again, the now Mrs. Onassis moved to New York City and could be seen in various hot spots and premieres. From the world renowned Studio 54 to the her upscale Apartment in the posh part of the city, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis always gave the photographers instant fashion moments.

Her trademark love for various sunglasses and shades were and still are the rage. It was as if she could not take a bad picture even in the mist of high winds and thunderous skylines, she always carried poise and beauty effortlessly.

Sadly she lost her battle with cancer but even to this day her style presence is felt on the red carpet and fashion runways. In a time when many have stated that less is more, those who add a splash of her style can truly debate that notion.

Check out some her signature selections and observe how easy she made it seem. That ladies and gentlemen is a  Fashion Legend!
