Video of The Day - Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam

It would happen every Saturday morning, I would turn on my radio while staying in Houston,Texas with my grandparents and a certain voice would come from the speakers as well as my television.

The voice was that of Lisa Velez and every time she came on my screen with her bold colors and breathtaking beauty, I was hooked. My grandma would often complain that I had the television up way to loud once Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam came on but I didn't care.

I am embarrassed  to say that I never really paid much attention to her band mates but they were equally talented as well.  Check out these retro videos from the chart topping group and you will see that they were rocking it out back in the 80's.
