Tremendous Trail Mix

Often we find ourselves eating unhealthy when we really want to eat properly. From my personal challenges of  healthy eating, I have often messed up due to various snacking and nibbling happenings. Instead of sneaking in that bowl of chips or that super calorie laced sandwich, how about some homemade Trail Mix to set you straight.

This recipe for Legendary Trail Mix laced with energy will get your mind going as well as release positive energy thru out your mind.

Ingredients:
1 container(s) (8 ounces) rolled oats
1 1/3 cup(s) (sliced) almonds
4 ounce(s) whole raw cashews
1/2 cup(s) dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon(s) finely grated orange zest
1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon(s) ground nutmeg
10 tablespoon(s) butter
1/3 cup(s) maple syrup
1 tablespoon(s) maple syrup

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper and set aside. Combine oats, almonds, cashews, sugar, orange zest, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl and mix well. Melt the butter over low heat in a small saucepan and stir in the maple syrup.

Pour the butter mixture over the granola and toss to coat evenly. Spread the granola in an even layer on the prepared baking pan and bake until cashews are golden and oats are crisp -- 15 to 20 minutes. Cool and store in an airtight container for 1 week or refrigerated for up to 1 month.

Can't you just feel the energy from reading this recipe!!!
