LIRM Lifestyle Spot ~ Remembering my Aunt Zola & Her Famous Jello Cake
More Wisdom witness after the jump
She made her own clothes, would dance with the young ones and burn in the kitchen. She was running around and traveling up until she was stricken with a stroke and sadly passed away today. She could be seen jet setting to Los Angeles for class reunions, quick trips down south with her bridge playing pals and always finding a dance floor to cut up and she did it well into her eighties.
I remember being a precocious ten year old in her kitchen and watching her make her amazing Jello Cake. She would not let me touch the ingredients nor the utensils but I knew I would soon get the bowl to devourer. As much as I miss her and all the style that she brought to my life, I must admit I have tons of memories, pictures and recipes to hold me for a lifetime.
