Style Spotlight ~ Sir Sammy Davis Jr.

I can still remember those words in my mind, "The candy man can, cause he mixes it with love." This blogger remembers being a young tyke and asking my grandfather who the person belting out the above-mentioned tune was. Without hesitation my grandfather, a short yet strong businessman, answered with his uplifting voice, "Son, that is the one and only Sammy Davis Jr."

Not to long after that quick mental information station, I was hooked on the talents of the one and only Sir Davis. Being that I only hit planet earth in the early seventies I really didn't know of the impact that Mr. Davis had made on society while a part of the world renowned Brat Pack.

Being a part of the pack was not only funny but the style that Sammy, Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford and Dean Martin had was simply dope. Even during his latter years Sir Sammy always shined with bold patterns, dope tailored suits and his trademark smile. 

It was simply sad upon learning that he had passed away and knowing that his mega watt smile would be no more. Thankfully he not only left a musical legacy for the world to see but his personal style was just as impressive.
