Dame Clarice Taylor ~ Veteran Stage Actress Succumbs

There is a star that has dimmed in the world today as a Legend closed her eyes once last time. Veteran television/stage actress Clarice Taylor passed this past weekend at the age of 93.

An original member of the National Negro Ensemble Company, Taylor would go on to appear in such masterpieces as Play Misty For Me with Clint Eastwood, Purlie and as the mother of Billy Cosby's Iconic character Dr. Cliff Huxtable on the long running Cosby Show.

One of her more memorable stage characters is that of Glenda the Good Witch in the award winning stage production The Wiz.
