LIRM Movie Moment ~ Gena Rowlands "Gloria" - 80's Masterpiece

I have often shared with our readers that my memories from my childhood are my muse. More musings after the jump.

I can still remember my summers at my grandparents home in Houston as I enjoyed my break with tons of junk food, movies and nothing else. Living with my mother, I was on what one would call a schedule but once I hit the city limits of Houston, I was all scheduled out.

One of my favorite past times was watching movies on The Movie Channel and not feeling bad for staying up past my bedtime. There was one movie in particular was the 1980 masterpiece Gloria starring Gena Rowlands.

This gem of a movie kept me on the edge of my seat as I watched Ms. Rowlands character protect a young lad who witnessed the murders of his family by the mob. There was no denying that this John Cassavetes directed showstopper had everything from crime, fashion as well as a gritty look at the seedy streets of New York City.

Check out the movie in its entirety via http://search.crackle.com/v/28209738/gloria.htm and see for yourself.
