LIRM Lookout ~ We Found Loose Ends - Still Jamming
I often tell my younger cousins that there is more to music than what we see today. Not that this blogger has any problems with what is out today but in a way it seems as if the soul is missing from many songs. The uber soulful Loose Ends always delivered a song with many layers of groove.
From the pulsating bass line of Slow Down to the groovy chorus on Hanging on a String, this United Kingdom based trio held it down during the eighties, nineties and beyond. Their influence can be seen in many singers out today.
The lead vocals of Jane Eugene always added a sultry yet subtle spin on the lyrics and fellow band members/vocalists Steve Nichol and Claude McIntosh added their own seasoning with the groovy complex mix of music. Even though the trio went their separate ways in the late nineties they are each enjoying renewed success by performing to sold out crowds.
Check out this vintage live video of the trio performing their monster hit Slow Down.
