Imagine driving up to your home, arms full of shopping bags which include but are not limited to: Groceries, Household Cleaners and much more. You turn the key and instantly look for a place to sit all of your treats and treatments. As you prepare to unload it all, you began to think, "If only I had a super cool island to prep from."

I can still remember the days of old where we would hear our mom drive up, the horn would blow and we dashed out to the car. We knew what that beep of the horn signified, be sure and get your share of the groceries.

Once my grandparents purchased our summer home on Galveston Beach, I instantly feel in love with the island that sat in the center of the spacious kitchen. I mean, who wouldn't want a spot where the family can sit and watch as you get your "Julia Child" cooking skills on.

Not only can you prep your dinner, snacks and treats but you can also check homework and much much more. Now before you bid adieu to your cute counter top, let us not be so quick to give up on that as well. Many customers decorate their island with various place settings, candles and flowers but I personally love a clean slate to show off.

The Island is an accessory to many customers and they often don't want it to be the sole basis of the kitchen. Many use the island as a centerpiece to the room and can often be seen showing it off as their family and friends come over for brunch.
