Earlier in the week I asked my young cousins who they thought was the illest female emcee and let's just say that they needed to be schooled and quick.

I can still remember seeing MC Lyte in concert, standing flat footed and being enamoured of her skill. The female MC's of yesterday gave us just as much hustle and flow as the men of hip hop.
