LIRM Recipe ~ Creole Approved Peppered Skrimps - ROCKS OUT!


Being that my grandfather was a full blood creole and knowing that my roots run deep in the culture, I had to share some hot and spicy love today.  Now please don't get it twisted, creole's know about the spices and the flavors that make a roux.

My entire family will tell you that I love me some good right creole spices to kick up the flavorings. Check out this rocking recipe for Pepper Shrimp that is guaranteed to cause you to rename it Pepper Skrimps.

Ingredients:
3 pounds of  peeled and deveined shrimp
1 cup of light vegetable oil
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup of dry red wine
1/2 cup dark soy sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup lemon juice
6 cloves of pressed garlic
1/2 cup of fine cut parsley
Salt, Black & White Pepper and Cayenne to taste

Directions:
Place shrimp in large glass bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour over shrimp

Cover and marinate for two hours

Preheat grill

Place shrimps flat on the grill and pour reserved marinade into small saucepan, raise to a boil and simmer for five minutes.

Grill shrimp just until they turn pink turning once. Serve hot with reserved marinade for dipping and enjoy with your hearts content.
