The Beauty of Ms. Dorothy Dandridge ~ Forever Beautiful

Sitting here watching some late night television and I realized that our young people don't really have a clear picture of those who helped paved the way.

Our televisions are inundated with visions of young women dropping it low for the latest singer/rapper and not one ounce of history referenced.

I recently asked some young cousins if they knew who Diahann Carroll, Lena Horne and the like were and I was floored by the lack of knowledge they possessed.

They instantly knew of the latest female singers, actresses and rappers but no knowledge of those who came before them. Immediately I thought of the amazingly beautiful Dorothy Dandridge and her strikingly good looks.

Not only was Ms. Dandridge talented but she was also before her time and faced major opposition being a woman of color.  If it wasn't for Dorothy's sacrifices and sufferings, the actresses of today would not be able to walk the red carpet nor appear on the cover of major publications.

Check out the beauty of this Iconic actress and I am sure you will agree that she still stands up to those in the industry today.
