Tameka Raymond - She is More than a Last Name
Being on Twitter for me has had it's highs and lows but I have been blessed with some great people to follow. There is one in particular whom I feel deserves much respect and today we showcase a Positive Role Model in the form of Tameka Raymond.
Many may know her from simply being Usher Raymond's wife but there is much more to her than a name. Tameka attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in 1994 as a Merch Marketing Major in Los Angeles, California. She went on to work as a dresser for Giorgio Armani and other designer fashion shows while attending FIDM.

Her work has covered top magazines Harpers Bazaar, Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Seventeen, People, Teen People, The Source, Vibe and Details. She is best known for branding Lauryn Hill’s vintage haute couture look into something many of us have attempted to incorporate into our own styles.

Being a person who loves to find the good in others, you must know that when I found out that Tameka styled the Legendary Lauryn Hill among others, it floored me. To think that a person who has CREATED trends and influenced a society had not had their work highlighted consistently bothered me.
I had to write about the positive things she has done and do it in a tasteful manner. How many of us has even scratched the surface of our dreams and aspirations like Tameka? I will answer that with a big ole - NOT MANY.
She is a business owner, sister, friend and most importantly - MOTHER. She also has a foundation to help influence young girls to become diamonds in the rough. With HIV among teens on the rise, I find it amazing that she is someone who took the time to make a difference in a time when many give up on them.

Tameka Foster Raymond is more than a Last Name and she is Beautiful and BOLD to say the least. She is a genuine Survivor and Flawless Role Model to say the least.
