LIRM Flashback - Ready For The World

I had to be at least 12 or 13 and I often was the designated look out guy/security for my cousins. I clearly remember attending various parties and concerts that included those who were rather young and inexperienced.  I  confess that I was often board but suffice to say my cousins were satisfied.

Things changed one summer evening in my city when we went to a concert that featured the likes of New Edition, L.L. Cool J as well as the group that pleased the ladies "Ready for the World".  They came on the stage with their all white attire along with the ever popular Classy Curl and wowed the entire audience.

This band rocked the stage and literally had the women and some men passing out. I tried hard to not enjoy this group but before you knew it, I was dancing "Up Close" with a young lady from around the way.  Check out this vintage video from this group that still tours to this day and see if you remember them.
