LIRM Artistic Spotlight - Genie Francis

Who doesn't remember the seventies/eighties and sitting in their grandparents living room and being being locked into their cartoons. In comes your grandmom exclaiming. "Boy, change that channel, you about to make me miss my stories with Luke and Laura".

 From the tender age of 16, Genie Francis turned the soap opera world on it's ear and has not came down since.

Nobody has the range nor the talent that Ms. Francis possesses and probably never will. She can play heroine, ingenue as well as a Iconic character that has lasted at least 30 years and counting.

One of my favorite scenes involving Genie is when her character Laura wakes us from Catatonia and realizes the extent of her situation and the ramifications when she once again slips away. Good news just hit the web that Genie is reprising her role on the show and is back in a huge way.
