Hollywood is buzzing this afternoon as news hit that Academy Nominated actors Oprah Winfrey and Eddie Murphy have officially joined Mike Epps in the highly anticipated Richard Pryor biopic.
The film is being director by Lee Daniels which is sure to be intense as well as thought provoking which is actually something that many would say describes the late comedian. According to sources connected to the film, Murphy will be taking on the role of Richard's father Leroy Pryor and Oprah will be playing Pryor's much spoken about grandmother who was also a madame who ran a brothel.
This is not the first time Pryor's life story has been brought to the big screen with many of his fans remembering the 1986 film JoJo Dancer: Your Life Is Calling, a somewhat autobiographical film written with his longtime friend Paul Mooney. Filming is expected to start in March 2016 and is sure to bring big numbers.
