Legendary Radio/Talk Show Host Donnie Simpson Returns to The Airways Via Swanky Deal With Radio One/TV One

BET network is a thriving brand these days but in the 80s and early 90's it's success was based off of personality Donnie Simpson. The green eyed host was a staple in homes around the world with Video Soul a show that featured interviews with greats like Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Gerald Levert, Phyllis Hyman and loads more.




After leaving BET he would go on to host the much heralded Donnie Simpson Morning Show out of Washington, DC. News broke today that Donnie has come out of retirement and will be heading back to the airways via a swanky new partnership with Radio One.

"The multi-year agreement for both radio and television include Donnie hosting The Donnie Simpson Show afternoons (3p – 7p) on MAJIC 102.3as of Monday, August 17th, and a collaboration between TV One and Donnie Simpson Productions to create programs that will have Donnie back on TV by the fourth quarter of this year."
