Law & Order 25th Anniversary To Be Highlighted Via Sundance TV Marathon



In the criminal justice system, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the police, who investigate crime; and the district attorneys, who prosecute the offenders. These are their stories.



The above mentioned phrase is one that fans of Dick Wolf's masterpiece Law and Order have seared in their memories probably until the end of time. The series is celebrating its 25th anniversary via WeTv with an epic episode breakdown that is sure to take us back in time. 



Not only will there be a a month-long celebration in August but viewers can jump right in with a two-night marathon on Tuesday, July 28 and Wednesday, July 29, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Included will be the best episodes from the series.  There is industry talk that the series may be getting a reup soon but until then check out the anniversary break down via Sundance TV:


Sunday, September 6th: 

3:00 pm - Violence of Summer - Greevey and Logan investigate the gang rape of a reporter, a case   once dismissed for lack of    evidence.

4:00 pm - Sisters of Mercy - A rehabilitation center staffed by Catholic nuns faces closure after an investigation into allegations of sexual molestation leads to rape charges.

5:00 pm - Skin Deep - Cerreta and Logan probe the murder of a fashion photographer who formed a call-girl service for washed-up models.

6:00 pm - Conduct Unbecoming - Stone and Schiff fight with a vice admiral over jurisdiction in the death of a woman officer during a drunken party.

7:00 pm - Blue Bamboo - A young actress claiming to have been the victim of a white slavery ring becomes the prime suspect when a wealthy Japanese businessman is murdered.

8:00 pm Paranoia -   Briscoe and his new partner investigate murder at a college; McCoy risks a lawyer's disbarment to win a case.

9:00 pm  - Aftershock -   Briscoe, Curtis, McCoy and Kincaid witness an execution and try to come to terms with their roles in the killing of another human being.

10:00 pm - Double Down - McCoy tries to sidestep a plea bargain he made with a dangerous suspect in order to see justice done.

11:00 pm - Shadow - A bail bondsman's death leads detectives to a corrupt lawyer with a connection to the district attorney's office.

12:00 am - Empire - A businessman planning to build a new football stadium in New York City is on trial for murder. But the prosecution's star witness, a professional fundraiser who was having an affair with the victim, may have her own sinister motives.

1:00 am - Turnstile - After a homeless man is accused of killing a woman at a subway station, McCoy learns that a health care provider may not have provided him with appropriate medical attention in order to save money.

Monday, September 7th:

4:00 pm - Star Struck - An obsessed fan is charged with the brutal beating of a soap opera actress. During the trial, he claims that a voice in his head told him to do it.

5:00 pm - Cradle to Grave - A baby is found frozen to death in a hospital emergency room. The case leads to accusations that the landlord of the building the baby and her mother lived in hired people to turn off the heat and harass tenants to get them to move out.

6:00 pm - Helpless -  Dr. Olivet accuses an esteemed gynecologist of rape. However, when she loses her case, the DA's office resorts to a new strategy to bring the doctor to justice.

7:00 pm - Manhood - After a cop is killed while trying to make a drug arrest the investigation reveals that some of his fellow officers may have stood by and let him die for reasons of their own.

8:00 pm - Scoundrels -  An attorney may have been killed for trying to further bilk people who have lost their life savings in an S&L scandal.

9:00 pm - Encore -  A businessman most people suspect got away with conspiring to murder his first wife is now accused of conspiring to kill his second wife. Both cases share eerie similarities.

10:00 pm - Good Girl -  A white teenager accused of murdering an African-American man claims that she was a date-rape victim, and racial overtones threaten to overpower the actual merits of the case.

11:00 pm - Expert -  The daughter of a convicted murderer goes on trial, accused of attempting to murder an expert witness who testified in her father's trial on his behalf.

12:00 am - Disciple -  A rebellious child dies during an unsanctioned exorcism ceremony. The defendant claims that St. Michael instructed her to perform it.

1:00 am - Endurance - A frustrated, over-stressed mother is charged with murder after starting a fire that killed her disabled son, but the case weighs heavy on Jack McCoy's conscience. Nora Lewin is introduced as DA Adam Schiff's replacement.

2:00 am - Formerly Famous -  Briscoe and Green suspect that a washed-up former Vegas lounge singer may be connected to his wife's murder. But they also discover that his wife has a history as a con artist.
