Living legend/television icon Phylicia Rashad is about to busy as ever with her starring role in the upcoming installment of the Rocky franchise.
Ms. Rashad will be taking on the role of Mary Ann Creed, last played by Sylvia Meals, who will be providing insight and support to her grandson Jordan played by Michael B. Jordan. The film is poised for release sometime in 2016-2017.
In other news, Condola Rashad, the equally talented daughter of Phylicia and Ahmad Rashad, just snagged a starring role in the Showtime network pilot Billions. Via Deadline, Condola will be playing Kate, a smart, ambitious young professional who is working at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Billions is a fictional drama that takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures played by Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis.
