"Annalise's Machinations" HTGAWM "Hello Raskolnikov" Episode Recap

*Fist Pump*

It is that time y'all!! Our favorite legal eagle Annalise Keating and her group of twisted students and staff members are back in the thicket of all things murderous.

NEW DAY:

The episode picks up right where it left off and it's a day after Sam Keating goes missing but we all know what happened to him now don't we? From the looks of it Annalise managed to stop by her wig specialist and get a better Farrah Faucett original on her way to the police station.  Hair layed like a murderous law professor who wants her cheating husband out of her life.

The cops are swarming all over the house looking for clues and simultaneously interviewing each of student. The cops are asking about where they think Sam is or may have run off too. These damn kids are so vindictive and naive its not even funny and not a one of em can be trusted even the ever gentle Wes who we know knocked Sam Keating off with a fatal swoop to the head. 

INTERVIEWS AND LIES:

Wes is first in line to be interview and we see him lie effortlessly through his perfectly set of teeth and innocent demeanor. Back at the crib Rebecca and Wes discuss Annalise and the Sam situation and Rebecca picks up on his calmness through the conversation. I mean shouldn't he be a bit more emotional after killing his professors husband?

Each student interview varies regarding Sam and some are stronger than others but everybody maintain their lie levels. Laurel tells the cops that Sam would look at her with a roving eye and we know that is a lie because she was way too busy getting her shaboink on with Frank on the Keatings front porch. - Girl is a common freak!!

Asher is interviewed and basically lets the cops know that he couldn't find any of the other students when he went to the house to retrieve his trophy and he eventually gave up because Bonnie Winterbottom called him and put out. Bonnie was interviewed next and she lied like she normally does? Cold and calculating with a mean bob cut!!!


Michaela and Connor round out the interviews but these two are not as strong as they seem. We also see some sparks between the two of them which would probably make for some good television and make some people upset.

ANNALISE LAYS HER EDGES WITH LIES:

Annalise interviews with the detectives concerning Sam and she tells them that Sam must have been guilty of killing Lila because he ran off.  These detectives are not really feeling Annalise and she knows it so the water works are turned on. 

Through flashbacks we see Annalise walking into the house and finding Sam's lifeless body in the foyer and her meltdown commences.  We also see Annalise listening to Wes confess to the crime but we also see her giving Wes advice on how to get rid of the body and more. She also set up having sex with Nate for an alibi as well as calling Bonnie to ask her where Sam is. 

Annalise looks the part but there is a lot of layers to this talented lawyer and those layers just might include other murders that she got away with. 

Annalise has the students set out to prove that Sam was guilty of killing Lila and this puts the plan in motion to clear Rebecca. 

ASHER & BONNIE SITTING IN A TREE:

After stick and move session on his couch the night before, Asher is instructed by Annalise to accompany Bonnie down to the local police station to get info on Sam's whereabouts. Something about these two makes us like them and we even have a nickname for them - BASHER!!! 

WINTERBOTTOM PUT THE IT ON OLE ASHER!!!

Bonnie and Annalise have a heart to heart about the situation concerning Sam but Annalise has other things on her mind - covering her tracks!!! 

NAMASTE IN BED WITH NATE:

Annalise confesses to the detectives that she was with Nate during the time that Sam went missing and we all know Annalise was getting that crew love from her lover boy. It is so obvious that this lady is holding all the strings and every single person on the canvas is her puppet including Nate. 

DNA AKA DON'T KNOW ABOUT ANNALISE:

Annalise gets the DNA results delivered via Frank from Lila's dead fetus and it concludes that Sam was the father of her baby. She opened that envelope like a barker beauty and after reading the results? She was as happy as a frat boy at a cheerleader rally but something tells us that those results are so altered and its just another piece of the puzzle to villainize Sam.

Frank notices her joy upon reading the results and tells Annalise that she can trust him. Annalise lets Franky Frank know that he can't tell Bonnie anything about what they are speaking about.  

TRAVELING MAN:

The GPS on Sam's car provides a serious loophole in Rebecca's case. Someway somehow Sam's car ended up at the dead girl Lila's home aka the sorority house. This was perfect for Rebecca and she was soon found not guilty of killing Lila. 

LILA:

This young lady was murdered by someone on the canvas and it's gonna be a humdinger when that information comes to light and we also see via old computer footage that she was planning on getting an abortion but she never did. 

CLUE!!! 

SPOTTED:

Annalise and Wes cut Connor and Michaela off at the knees after they both desire to go to the police about Sam's murder. They arrive in Annalise's nice Audi whip that she must have had in the shop during the first half of the season.

Via flashbacks Laurel told Wes the plan that Michaela and Connor have to turn themselves and Annalise manages to change their confused minds before the confession. Annalise is a low key sociopath in our books but doesn't want to get her hands too dirty with the crime or crimes so she gets her students around her to do the crime!!!

Wonder if Frank or Bonnie ever murdered someone for her? 

CLASS IS IN SESSION:

Even with Sam's murder resting on their shoulders Annalise tells the students that they have to be in class like its a regular day at the office. She mentally challenges her class to solve a crime involving four suspects who have the task of getting away with murder. 

BRUH??!! 

FAMILY FIRST:

The episode ends with Annalise sitting in her room clearly missing Sam but knowing she has to live with her choices. She receives a call from Connor who lets her know that there is a shift in the case and the circumstances concerning Sam. His sister, played Marcia Gay Harden, assures the detectives that her brother would never murder or harm anyone. 

Annalise is pressed by this news and gets the shakes and bubble guts because eventually it all will come to light including Sam's remains and Michaela's ring!!!!!!!
