Kerry Washington Partners With Allstate Foundation For New Purple Purse

This morning Scandal fans probably have their credit cards in hand and ready to snatch up Kerry Washington's new handbag and we have all the deets.


The new mom recently partnered with Allstate Foundation to designed a stylish handbag that is designed to bring attention to domestic violence and financial abuse. Kerry partnered with handbag designer, Dee Ocleppo, to create the 2015 Purple Purse.

“I am proud to be part of a movement that empowers women to take back control and to rebuild their lives,” said Kerry Washington. “Through Allstate Foundation Purple Purse, we aim to break the cycle of violence. We hope women will carry this purse to show their support, and that domestic violence victims will be inspired to reclaim their independence.”

The purple purse retails for $350 at Saks.com with 25% of the proceeds going toward supporting various abuse programs is available for purchase beginning Sept. 25 at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations.
