Actress/Comedian is not letting any grass grow under her feet these days as she and her husband Sidney Hicks gear up for the release of Blackbird. The talented actress has been interviewing all over the place concerning this production and we believe it just might be a hit.
The film which is adapted from the book by Larry Duplechan, produced by Monique and Sidney Hicks as well as Isaiah Washington, stars Monique and Isaiah as Claire & Lance Rousseau the parents of a young impressive teenage boy played by Julian Walker coming to terms with his sexuality. His mother is a church going woman who can't seem to wrap her mind around what's going on with her son as his father attempts to guide him thru life.
The film will be available on VOD and Digital on July 28, 2015 and Blu-ray and DVD on August 4, 2015. The Blu-ray and DVD includes never-before seen special features, including deleted scenes, audition footage, a behind the scenes featurette, and special music video by cast member, D. Woods.
