Let's get into some key scenes shall we:
TRASH DAY:
Anika and Lucious are busy planning their wedding but are interrupted by Cookie and Porscha who come in and drop the knowledge on the shady Boo Boo Kitty - they shut it down!! Cookie promptly lets Lucious know that Anika is fooling with Baretti who is his sworn enemy and has actually given him key information regarding Empire Records.
Can we just get a praise break for Cookie and Porsha:
Cookie and Porscha head upstairs and thow all of Anika's things out the front door. Cookie straight up kicked Anika's ass to the curb like Fred Flintstone did his trusty pet Dino.
All Anika could do was catch them L's and best believe she got a ride with her new friend Brunetti and his fancy Cadillac Escalade.
COMPUTERS, CLIENTS AND BECKY'S WIG:
All hell is breaking loose at Empire because of Anika but make no mistake, Cookie and Lucious are handling up. They are taking things into overdrive and sweeping hard drives and cell phones but what they don't know is that on the other side of town at home Andre is in I'm Gone Get You Sucka mode.
The team is doing their best to keep their artists on the roaster but Anika and Brunetti are already trying to steal artists left and right. Brunetti is getting his Clive Davis mode on as he tells various artists that he can and will make their lives better than Empire Records. Brunetti is clearly jealous of what Lucious has managed to build and gives Anika a sob story about his dead son. She doesn't even realize how much damage she is doing but what she should be looking out for is a vehicle. Somebody give this fancy debutante a car to drive because tonight all she did was catch rides with folks. Lucious didnt even act like he knew Anika - AT ALL!!
Lucious and Brunetti end up having a how shall we say - street gun pulling match- in broad ass daylight but no one was hurt just egos bruised. Lucious is just as rude as he wants to be when he tells Brunetti that he feels sorry for his son which to us? Them is fighting words!!

ANDRE NEEDS A FRIEND:
Andre shows up looking spaced out and bearing a briefcase full of money that will be used to bribe even the most loyal client which in some way impressed Lucious crazy ass. Andre is on a fast train to the crazy house because he washed his trusty meds down the toilet. What the family doesn't know is that the poor guy that they really don't pay any attention to is coming unglued by the minute.
The brothers are in the elevator later and eventually get into it as Andre has a psychotic break when the elevator breaks down. They have an intense time in the closed space as Andre lets all his mental frustrations out and what we see is a hurting young man truly traumatized by a mental disease. Somebody needs to get Oprah on the line and get her to hold Andre's hand on Super Soul Sunday.
The brothers try and calm Andre down with a spirited singing session of Bill Withers 'Lean On Me" and we an intimate look at the love that each brother has for the other. These guys truly love each other but Andre falls deeper into madness and it shows up in the conference room. Lucious gives word to Malcolm to call Andre's wife and keep his inside of the conference room until she arrives.
HOOD VISION:
Cookie heads over to the hood recording studio where they had a previous shootout with some thugs but that's not important - she is on a mission to keep her artist. Cookie had to let the wanna be thugs know that she is more of a man than some of them are after facing 17 years fed time. If we not mistaken we believe Cookie and the guys got turned up off of some sizzrup and she manages to drink them all under the table and staggers out to her next meeting.
Cookie is later rescued by Lucious head of security Malcolm, who she been crushing on and who we actually think is an undercover cop but that ain't none of our business. Cookie is determined to give Malcolm some of that Waiting to Exhale love and from the previews next week? He gonna put his hand in that Cookie jar.
Jamal and Delphine a platinum selling recording artist, played by Estelle, end up doing a duet in the studio titled Conquer and equally impress each other with harmonious melodies. Jamal is slowly rising to the top of the Empire ranks much to the chagrin of his family members.
HAKEEM DON'T GET IT:
Hakeem is pissed this week at his father for not giving him the attention that thinks he deserves. Lucious lets him know that he needs to pay attention and soak up all the knowledge of the business before he can even think of giving him Empire. Hakeem and the company get word that Tiana is meeting with Brunetti at the same time that they try to get Lucious to give Delphine a chance at Empire. Lucious and Jamal, Tiana, Hakeem along with Delphine perform in the club to the excitement of everybody and it seals the deal.
Hakeem catches Anika heading over to meet with Tiana and stops her with his heartfelt pleas of love and adoration but its all an act. He manages to stall her long enough so that Cookie can put her professional hooks in Tiana and it works but under one condition - Tiana and Hakeem have to be together as a couple again. He checks her and lets her know that he is with Camilla now much to the chagrin of Cookie but they can make it look worth something.
The episode comes to an end with Andre descending into further madness in the boardroom with his manic episode. He turns that room out but not before giving Lucious all the rage that has been pent up inside which shakes his father to his core. The paramedics arrive and sedate the broken brother and take him to the hospital for a 48 hour hold.
