"Ms. Ophelia! We Say Your Name" HTGAWM "Momma's Here Now" Recap

It's time again y'all!!!

This weeks episode of the huge hit How To Get Away With Murder jumped out of the gate swinging with the grand dame of acting Cicely Tyson as Annalise's quick witted mother Ophelia.

THEY GAVE NATE THE FINGER:
The episode opens with Nate being processed through the jail system complete with his dignity being taken for the sake of Annalise. They gave Nate the finger in more ways in one which was something we viewers were not expecting. The walk of shame that Nate experienced in jail is one for the record books but something tells us that this is all in the plan between him and Annalise. Nate receives a visit from Annalise who leaves him a quick note to fire his lawyer.


MOMMA MIA:
Mother Ophelia, played to PERFECTION by the EPIC Cicely Tyson, walked in the door of the Keating home putting everybody in check. Momma Tyson had Bonnie and Frank shaking in their boots like Vera from Harlem Knights.

Annalise has not taken a shower nor changed her sheets in days and momma is taking charge of everything. Annalise up in that room like Lazarus in his tomb after a few days of death.

BONNIE BELONGS IN NIGHT COURT:
The legal team, led by legal eagle who can't win a case, Bonnie Winterbottom, takes on a case of a nurse raping her patient. Bonnie is not made for the courtroom y'all. She is made for being messy and kissing her boss's husband on their freaky front porch.


These murderous students getting on Bonnie''s nerves and she has a serious meltdown where she asks them if they challenge Annalise the same way they do her.

HER MOMMMA NAMED HER ANNA MAE SO WE GONNA CALL HER ANNA MAE:
Annalise and Ophelia spend the majority of their time hanging out in Annalise's or should we say Anna Mae's bedroom. Listen Ophelia put Annalise in her place by letting her know that her government name is Anna Mae not Annalise and its a beautiful name. The students meet Ophelia who quickly throws them some light fade and ask them if they have any home training.

We love Ms. Ophelia and we say her name!!!!!

Anyway!

Ophelia catches Wes and Annalise having a conversation concerning Nate and she quickly lets Anna Mae know the she probably has the young boy in her bedroom sniffing her drawers.

There is an underlying current between these two characters and it is a small fire that eventually grows into much more by the end of the episode. Ophelia and Annalise aka Anna Mae get into it something serious when Annalise ask her mom if her mother knew that her uncle raped her her back in the day.

Annalise lets her mom know that Sam understood what she went through when he first met her years ago. Ms. Ophelia jolts back at her emotionally damaged daughter and lets her know that sexual abuse happened to her and a few family members repeatedly as well so Anna Mae? You is Smart! You Is Kind! You Is Important!

Annalise lets her know that she doesn't need her anymore and she should go home. Ophelia combs Annalise's hair and she is so natural that Ophelia tells her that her kitchen needs a combing. As she combs her baby girls hair she recounts letting her brother stay with her and her family. She confesses that she remembers seeing him coming out of Annalise's room and she eventually killed him herself.

MISS OPHELIA GOT THAT COURAGE LIKE NO OTHER!!!! 

CONNOR AND HIS BAE LOVE THE INTERNET:
Connor and his boo thang research the guy who claims that his nurse raped him and find that he is gay. This give Bonnie Faye Winterbottom some type of ammunition but it doesn't work like she thinks.

Asher manages to save the day when he finds information that sets Bonnie's client free and she wins the case.  Asher and Bonnie end up shaboinking in the parking garage of the courthouse but don't realize that freaky Frank is watching in disgust.

WES IS LOOKING FOR RUDY:
Wes is still gunning for the infamous Rudy who no one seems to be able to track down. After he goes to the police station and ask around he finds out that Rudy was arrested or hospitalized based off of a drug overdose.  Wes shares with Laurel that Rebecca lied to him and he found that Rudy may or may not be Lila's killer.

Laurel and Wes manage to get into the hospital to see the Rudy and he is totally out of touch with reality. Wes shows Rudy a picture of Rebecca and he manages to mumble the word - Wet - which links him to the murder of Lila. At the same time as Wes is showing Rebecca's picture, his phone is being traced by Rebecca who find out he is visiting Rudy.

Wes is gonna have to take those L's and turn his boo thang in!!!!
