"That Pesky ChokeHold" #HTGAWM Season Finale Recap

It's time y'all!!!  Tonight is the night that we come to the end of the season one road with How to Get Away With Murder.



Let's get to the recapping shall we:

Tonight's finale opens with Wes returning home after seeing the infamous Rudy in the insane area of the local hospital. Wes and Rebecca are clearly shaken with each other and they each know the other is keeping secrets from each other.

Wes turns on the charm and takes Rebecca to the bed and blows her back out with that good law school loving which leaves each of them laying in the bed with bated after sex breath with a side of Sexual Healing Marvin Gaye style.

IT'S MURDER NIGHT:
Via flashbacks we see Rudy studying in his room and overhearing dead girl Lila and Rebecca arguing about Lila going back to her macho macho football player boyfriend Griffin. Lila tells Rebecca that she only used her for attention and she is kicked out by Rebecca. Umm yeah so something about the argument screams lovergirls aka secret garden girlfriends to us but we aint the ones to gossip.


Rebecca is later seen via flashbacks at Lila's boyfriends frat house doing PCP and she is only doing it to get under Lila's kin. Rebecca flirts religiously with the dumb jock and before long they head up to his bedroom for a little hut one - hut two - loving. While the dumb jock is getting a drink, Rebecca sneaks in his phone and texts Lila to come over to his room to talk. Lila catches Rebecca and dumb jock together in bed and Lila WENT IN and tried to whoop her like Krystle beat Alexis 30 years ago on Dynasty.

Later on Rebecca via flashbacks attempted to call Lila and apologize for sleeping with her boyfriend via her cell phone. Rebecca manages to get inside the sorority house where she goes looking for Lila and finds her floating fashionably in the water tank.

TESTING 1,2,3,: 
Connor and Oliver are seen making out but Oliver stops Connor with the "you need to get tested because you are a man whore" speech and Connor obliges.  Connor confesses to the nurse doing the testing that he has had 20 partners in the past few months and years.  He leaves Oliver in the doctors office and bolts because he couldn't take the pressure. Oliver later confesses that he tested positive for HIV.

COLD SHOULDER 202:
Nate is in court and has a lawyer that can't win a case just like that trusted Bonnie Winterbottom who we believe belongs in night court but what evs. Nate is taken away and sees Annalise in the hallway and pays her so much fade that the cold breeze probably left Annalise's edges frozen in time.

He paid her DUST!!



FATHER FIGURE:
Annalise is taking on the case of a wayward priest accused of murder who has some deep secrets of his own. Annalise has the class on the edges of their seats with how to get a guilty murderer off and she does it looking stylish as ever.

Annalise figures out that the priest is in love with a female member of the church. The priest confesses that he killed the child molesting priest for molesting one of his parishioners and would do it again in a heartbeat.

The Man of God is Anointed to Kill!!!

FRANK IS THE BETTY WRIGHT OF THE FIRM:
Annalise calls trusty Frank into her office and implores him to cause Nate to be attacked in his cell. Listen they beat Nate's ass just like Vera did Quick in Harlem Knights and Nate didn't even have a gun to shoot a pinky toe off or nuffin. From the looks of things Frank is just like Betty Wright only he is a man not a woman so we must call him the "Clean Up Man".

Bonnie confronts Annalise about Frank getting dragged like a hooker on the point by her pimp and Annalise confesses that she had him beat to get him released from jail.

*Scratches Our Heads*

As usual the plan didn't work - at first try -  and Nate is placed in solitary confinement. They get Asher to flirt with the presiding judge on the case as Frank snaps pictures to use as leverage. Before long Nate is released from jail and is met in his front yard by Annalise who he tells to go straight to hell. Annalise gonna mess around and go to the wrong yard and get that missile pulled on her for trespassing.

Annalise confesses that her team got the presiding judge released from case for conflict of interest.  Asher confronts Bonnie about what happened to the judge on the case but are interrupted by trusty Frank. Frank leaves a  small scent of blackmail in the air by letting them know that he may or may not tell Annalise about their romp in the parking garage.

Ms. Presiding Judge isn't the brightest gavel on the bench.

In present day time Rebecca arrives home and is met by all the students sans Asher. These kids interrogate Rebecca like Tom Cruise handling Jack Nicholson on the witness stand. Michaela implores ok makes Rebecca tell them what happend the night of Lila's murder but y'all know Rebecca don't know how to tell the FULL truth ever. Rebecca turns the tables on the students and tells them that she will tell the police what she knows about Sam's murder.

They call Annalise over to Wes's apartment and she finds Rebecca tied up in the bathroom. Wes tells Annalise that Sam may have been innocent of Lila's murder. Annalise returns home and thinks about the night that she and Sam had that epic argument.

She decides that they are going to put Rebecca on trial via a mock trial and the team begins to ruffle each others feathers with various scenarios regarding the murders. They once again are interrupted by Asher and they all bolt to the basement. Bonnie and Asher have a tender heart to heart about their "relationship" but Asher won't leave without getting some sugah from his Winterbottom.

They find out that Rebecca texts someone to let them know where she is so they tie her up once again with some pesky gray tape. Annalise goes down to the basement for some one on one time with crazy ass Rebecca - you know to kind of make her tell the truth. She implores Rebecca to tell her what happened the night Lila was killed. Rebecca twists things around and plays the ultimate cat and mouse game with Annalise.  She gets on Wes's ass just like Rasputia got on Norbit and tells him to be a man.

Rebecca confesses that she gave Rudy a joint laced with PCP and another crazy drug and before long he loses his mind. Ruby is seen clawing his names on his bedroom wall and Rebecca covers by calling the police and saying he is having a nervous breakdown. Rebecca further confesses that she found Lila in the water tank and she went in to get her but was interrupted by other sorority girls.


HEY SAM:
Via flashbacks Lila and Sam are seen speaking on the phone and Lila tells him that basically she and her unborn baby won't be ignored just like Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction.  Sam then calls Annalise regarding him getting the job out of town.

There is a SERIOUS knock at the front door and Bonnie goes to check it and runs Lila off but not before Lila tells Winterbottom that Sam can't keep her a secret anymore. Annalise asks who it was at the door and Bonnie covers saying it was a girl looking for Frank.

Lila and Sam are later seen on the phone as she sits on the rooftop but she hides once her dumb jock boyfriend comes looking for her. Sam meets Lila on the rooftop and tells him that she wants to keep the baby. Sam tells her that he doesn't love Annalise anymore but loves her instead. Sam puts the moves on Lila and tells her that he loves her so much but not before giving orders to Frank to kill Lila  which he did.

The episode ends with Annalise going down into the basement and speaking with Frank and asking him if he did it. Frank returns the favor to Annalise and tells her that he thought she did it as in - Killed Rebecca.
