Selma ~ Official Trailer

December is just a few weeks away and there are quite a few productions finishing up so that we could be entertained by the first of the year. Paramount Pictures has partnered with Pathe-UK along with Oprah Winfrey and Brad Pitt  to bring Selma to the big screen.  

Directed by Ava DuVernay, the film centers on Dr. King's historic struggle towards the 1965 landmark voting rights campaign regarded as the peak of the civil rights movement.  The film stars David Oyelowo as Dr. Martin Luther King, Carmen Ejogo as Coretta Scott King, Ledisi as Mahalia Jackson, Tom Wilkinson as President Lyndon B. Johnson and rapper Common among many others. 

Scheduled for release on January 5, 2014, it looks to be an amazing production that is poised to break many records. Check out some images as well as the official trailer
