Remembering Dame Esther Rolle

I can still remember my precocious years as being great and inspiring as always. Thankfully my grandparents loved and encouraged me to read just like them and I was happy to oblige. Who doesn't remember the iconic sitcom Good Times co starring Dame Esther Rolle.

Not only did she star as the matriarch of the troubled and loving Evans family but Esther was more than just an actress on a comical level. Growing up in Florida, she would go on to dance in various ensembles, star in numerous stage productions and win countless awards.
