Della Reese ~ Exclusive Interview

The day is winding down and thankfully we have a quality interview from a legend. This blogger can remember being a young tyke and watching an amazing sitcom Chico & The Man. After a few seasons we began to see singer/actress Della Reese join the cast as a regular and I was instantly hooked.

Dame Della, as we like to call her, has been in the business for at least fifty years beginning with touring with the incomparable Mahalia Jackson. See also paved the way for the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks and many more with her being the first African American female to host her own show.

Having witnessed her blaze around my screen co starring in Iconic staples such as Sanford & Son, The Ed Sullivan Show, Ms. Reese is the ultimate performer. She would go on to star in such hit movies like Thin Line Between Love and Hate, Harlem Nights and much more.
