Dame KoKo Taylor ~ Wang Dang Doodle - LIVE

This blogger woke up today feeling great, inspired and retro and judging by this post, it shows. As I have stated before, my childhood is my muse for LIRM along with the memories of my adulthood.


In can still remember being a teenager and noticing a confident lady singing the blues but she wasn't crying or falling apart. Now you must excuse me because when I think of the blues, I instantly think of sadness and the waterworks. Dame Koko Taylor didn't give off that vibe anytime she hit the stage to sing any of her mega hits including one of my favorites Wang Dang Doodle.

This Chicago native is notorious for burning up the stage with her infectious stage presence as well as her ability to rock the crowd out with her catchy lyrics. Sadly she is no longer with us but her musical legacy stands strong to this day.
