The Chronicles of My Spiritual Breakthru with Forever Jones

Sitting here at my desk thinking about how far I have come and how life always comes full circle. My mind races back to a pretty turbulent time in my life when this blogger thought that none of my dreams would ever come true.


Things were coming from every area, frustration was all around and giving up was the next option for a person in my situation. Being that I am almost always upbeat and totally focused on the future, these feelings that I possessed were intentionally hidden from those around me.

Being that I had a god sister who was performing with her school choir for their yearly graduation, I was invited to the festivities and fully in attendance. As I sat in the audience, my heart was heavy and I began to excuse myself to go to the lobby and wait until the performance was complete.

Instantly I heard a voice and this blogger lifted his head to hear a young teenage girl belt out heartfelt words concerning her love for the Lord. Now please be clear, I have always had a strong faith foundation and  always have been directed to pray hard and trust and believe in better days but this season of my life was pretty tough.

As my eyes scanned the stage of the beautiful church edifice, I then realized that this was a family that was singing from their souls. They  possessed amazing harmonies, stage presence and most importantly humbleness. Tears began to well up in my eyes and before I knew it, I was standing up with my hands lifted in a matter of seconds.

As the services ended, I introduced myself to this amazing family of singers and musicians and I found them to be just as their stage presence deemed them to be. Being in a area where many positive role models are few and far in between, it is a breath of fresh air to see someone who has worked hard to maintain their integrity to their craft and The Jones Family has managed to do that and more.

Not only have the entire family evolved with the help of the Lord but they are now up for two Grammy Awards at this years ceremonies. Here at Legends Icons and Role Models, we are pulling for them to win every awards as well as continue to empower people and communities around the world.
