Chiwetel Ejiofor & Martin Sheen Confirmed as Carlton Pearson and Oral Roberts in Netflix's Come Sunday

Interesting news out of Hollywood concerning the saga of famed Evangelist Oral Roberts and former mega pastor Carlton Pearson's former relationship.

For decades the late Dr. Roberts mentored and honored Pearson, who pastored one of the largest churches, Higher Dimensions Evangelistic Center, in Tulsa, OK. Things eventually fell apart when Pearson claimed he had revelations/insight concerning if hell was real.

Streaming giant Netflix is set to bring the layered and complicated  relationship to television screens with Come Sunday. The film, directed by Joshua Marston, will star Martin Sheen at the late Dr. Roberts along with Chiwetel Ejiofor as Pearson along with Condola Rashad as Pearson's ex wife Gina. 

Pearson eventually would merge Higher Dimensions church into the much discussed All Souls Unitarian Church. He then went on to lead Christ Universal Temple in Chicago, IL but eventually returned to his native Tulsa.
