Fox's #SHOTSFIRED With Sanaa Lathan & Stephan James Premiere Date and Weekly Schedule Confirmed.

Fans of actors  Sanaa Lathan & Stephan James are about to be super excited with news from FOX concerning the premiere date of their new show ShotsFired.

Lathan, who's recent film The Perfect Guy did impressive ticket sales a few weeks ago, is teaming up with actor Stephan James in #SHOTSFIRED, to tackle the controversial topic of police killing unarmed teens. Set for debut March 22, 2017 and scheduled to air Wednesday's at 8pm/9pm, the plot line consists of the dangerous aftermath of a police shooting when an African-American cop kills a white teen in Tennessee.

James, who can be seen in theaters as Jesse Owens in Race has been cast as a special prosecutor who is sent to the town by the Department of Justice. The character will match wits with Lathan, an expert investigator who digs into the cases. The pair must navigate the media attention, public debate and the social unrest that comes with such volatile cases, as they seek justice before the divided town erupts. 

Veteran actors Helen Hunt and Richard Dreyfuss have been added to cast along with more to be announced. Talented husband and wife duo Gina Prince - Bythewood & Reggie Rock Bythewood are creators/executive producers of the series with Gina directing.
