"Sweet Innocent Abigail" Secrets and Lies "The Lie" Finale Recap

It's time for the moment we have been waiting for - WHO KILLED TOM? - !!!!


This episode picks up right where last weeks episode left off with Ben asking the demented Jess where Abby is. Jess is playing a cool ass game of cat and mouse and now has Cornell and company believing that Ben raped her. It makes Ben look so damn bad because he just finished knocking boots with the crazy mommy.

BEN IS TIRED:
Cornell does find some key info regarding Tom in Jess's house and that would be Tom's bloody jacket  from the night he died. Cornell lets the emotionally battered Ben know that she knows that he didn't kill his son and now he is free to go??? Cornell please - After allll that shady information concerning Ben which ultimately caused his family to split and so much more now you wanna believe Ben.

Dave and Ben have a friendly drink after the Jess firestorm and Ben is clearly missing Christy who may or may be not getting her freak on with her friend guy from last week. The two homeboys enjoy a peaceful calm before the REAL storm which is ah coming!!!


JESS NEEDS TO JUICE:
Cornell interrogates Jess concerning her claim that Ben raped her but Cornell - who needs a fresh wardrobe change - knows that the crazy as cat shit mother is lying completely. She tells Jess that she knows that she is some kind of crazy just like her never before mentioned mother and she also knows that Jess didn't kill her sweet son either. Something tells us that once this entire ordeal is behind her and she has another baby - because we know that a baby is SURE to come from her latest romp with Ben - Jess might need to take up a holistic way of life complete with yoga and major amounts of juicing cause she is nuts and bolts times 200.

FAMILY FIRST:
Christy and the girls surprise Ben and show up at the home to celebrate Christmas and what not. Ben gives Christy the divorce papers, which he signed, and somewhat tells her there are no hard feelings concerning what has happened in the past. The family has dinner but across town Cornell is closing in on the killer - or so she thinks - and is imploring her people to get an arrest warrant for the killer whose face we can't see but we know it's a female.

For some reason Ben heads outside and finds some bloody sneakers from under the house and promptly heads back inside in a state of shock and disbelief. He asks the sweet but not so innocent Abby if she hurt Tom and she confesses that she didn't mean to hurt her little brother.

********JEEPERS BATMAN*******

THESE ARE MY CONFESSIONS *USHER RAYMOND VOICE*:
Abby confesses that she and Tom decided to run away together because their parents were fighting and its affecting them. Abby is SO full of it and furthermore how would Tom know how frustrating it was and he's a innocent kid?

Abby, who should have a damn curfew, sneaks in the house and implores Tom to wake up and she tricks the little boy into going with her. This girl is a major piece of work people as she manages to get Tom out of the house and out into the woods.

Once in the woods, Tom tells Abby that he is scared and he decides he wants to come go back home. He then tells Abby that not only does he want to go back home but he's gonna tell his mom on her. She kills the kid in cold blood and screams for help but to no avail but what we find out is that this murder was planned!!!!

The family is shaken to the core by the confession and they began to discuss who to call and who not to tell etc. Ben tells them to not to move and he would take care of it all. Ben asks Abby about the flashlight - she put it back because of Cornell and the jacket and other stuff - yada yada yada.  This girl is killing and scheming like she's working for the the mafia. Ben and Abby take the evidence out in the woods and burn it which TRULY implicates Ben along with his scheming sweet daughter.

Natalie, the oldest kid, clearly wants the family to turn her baby sister in because she killed their brother. Natalie is not having it and she lets her crazy family know that after all these years of telling her right from wrong they are covering up a murder which isn't cool.

POOR BEN:
Ben decides to turn himself in and be charged for Tom's murder and he heads over to Christy's brothers house - nice digs - and asks him to take care of his heartbroken daughter. Dave drops him off  at the police station and Ben thanks him for having his back and they say their goodbyes. Listen, Ben is gonna do what he has to do to protect his daughter, who basically watched her dad be hounded by the cops and didn't say one word, and he confesses, fires his lawyer and decides to defend himself without a lawyer.

CORNELL IS PISSED:
Cornell is not buying Ben's weak confession and she's fighting the DA by letting him know that she knows that Abby is the killer. They hook Ben up with shackles and handcuffs but not before she lets Ben know that Tom's murder was premeditated and Abby planned the entire thing. Albeit shocked, Ben is not moved by any of it and sticks to his confession.

Each character is clearly broken by tonights chain of events but none other than Cornell who is joined by her ex in a bar. The detective makes it known that she is gonna put Abby away if its the last thing she does. The scene ends with Abby and Christy hightailing it out of town and Abby letting her mom know that Jess will move and none of this would be happening if only she would have gotten Tom to the river.

Abby needs to take Oprah's advice:

ABC actually gave the viewers a bit more insight on what will happen a few months after all of this goes down ?????
