Ok! Ok! Is anyone else still reeling from last weeks CSI episode? *Looks around* Ok guess not, well tonight is just as gruesome and spellbinding as usual.
This weeks episode focused on inmates in lockup at the local jail. One inmate is running from the officers and stumbles over a dead body. You know how that is right? Just another day in lockup, running from the officers and boom there is a dead man NOT walking..
So lets get into the key pieces shall we:
MOP BUCKET STRUGGLE: Nick, who is leaving and us fans aren't too happy about that, and the team are called to the jail by David Brenner and find a dead man and blood somewhat smeared all over the place. After clearing the scene they call upon an inmate named Wilbur. The writers are super lowdown for not naming him something like William, Roger, Bob - Wilbur? But anyhow, Wilbur is already scared straight and beyond nervous about giving anybody up thru the jail. Dude was scared y'all. He eventually gives up a lead - one word - Mayfield.
TREACH NO PEPA: Enter inmate "Lincoln Mayfield" a cold bloodied killer who is found chilling in his cell and the team commences to searching his cell and find his fancy shank. You know, the kind of shank that is wrapped in plastic and what not? Dude is a trip and is played to perfection *pause* by Treach from the legendary rap group Naughty By Nature. Mayfield cut the murdered inmate but didn't finish him off? Is it wrong to expect Treach's character to bust out rapping OPP?
*Crickets*
Yeah So:
STAND GUARD: As the case continues Morgan and Greg go thru various items of the murdered inmate and find a top of the line recording device that is only accessible to local law officials. That is right people, there is a guard that has to have been standing foul.
WOO HOO: Enter Officer Woo - who conveniently was off during the time of the dreaded inmate's death and is moved up to the top of the suspect list. Finlay begins to piece things together and after speaking with at least 4 to 5 various inmates, she deduces that Woo has been lining his pockets with money from Mayfield.
THAT COP IS POISON: So Nick and Finlay get together and match more clues and find that the dead man had been poisoned by someone other than his professional shanker Mayfield. They drag in tainted cop David Brenner and intensely interrogate him but something is somewhat off because he is adamant that he is not the killer. He does however confess that he was poisoning the inmate but didn't kill him?
DONT TELL MOM THE INMATE IS DEAD: So after realizing that Brenner didn't kill the evil dead guy Finlay finds a key clue and it is confirmed - dead guy was murdered by his victim from years ago. The dead guy had raped a young kid and that kid grew up and ended up in the same population. Flashbacks showed that he let the dead guy know who he was and he strangled him.
NICK NEEDS A HUG: Nick is visibly shaken by what the killer confessed was his reason for killing the guy along with why the killer was in lock up anyway. Dude was looking for his wayward wife and had to leave his baby at home to go and find her. Such a sad tale.
SARAH - Guess Sara took some more vacation days off because she was nowhere to be found this week.
