Happy Birthday Dame Pearl Bailey

Today LIRM celebrates the birth of the one and only Dame Pearl Bailey. This blogger can remember staying up late with my grandparents nightly and watching The Johnny Carson Show. It was on one particular night that I took notice to a woman with tons of personality. 

Pearl Bailey came across the screen of our floor model television and impressed the socks off of me. Whether singing for the troops, performing in the White House or mixing it up with fresh new talent, Ms. Bailey always gave a performance 100%. 


Check her out as she sings with a young and impressionable Donnie & Marie Osmond as well as a extra vintage performance with the Muppets from the vaults.
