Artistic Spotlight - Stephen Schnetzer ~ Stellar Actor

I can still remember my beloved grandmother preparing lunch for her and myself during my summer vacation in Houston, Texas. This blogger has amazing and vivid memories of her making sure that I ate well and enjoyed my time off from school.

I always knew that we would have a great time during those hot summer months but one thing that was for certain was that she never missed her soaps. My grand mom was an avid supporter of the daytime serial Another World and she would often make me watch. Before I knew it, I was hooked on the happenings in the fictional town of Bay City.

One actor who stood out on a regular basis was that of Stephen Schnetzer who played legal eagle Cass Winthrop. The character came on the scene as a playboy who loved the ladies and was hell bent on making a name for himself in a town that didn't embrace him upon first glance. 

As time went on, we saw Stephen bring depth and substance to a character that was originally designed to cause trouble to those around him. As the years progressed, we began to see the character fall in and out of love a few times and during those days Stephen would hit the mark every time he came across the screen.

One of my favorite story lines involving Cass was during the Jason Frame murder mystery. Having seen his close friend jailed for a murder she didn't commit, he set out to prove her innocence and bring the killer to justice. It was during that time he would realize that the killer was right under his nose and what ensued would be some of the most amazing scenes of his career. 

As his character would go on to become a pillar of the fictional community, Stephen would once again be faced with some of his most amazing work to date. The character would find love, become a father and prove to be a leader of the award winning show.

Sadly, his acting partner was fired and Stephen showed a range of emotions as his character mourned the loss in a way that came across in an organic way. Stephen is yet acting in various stage productions, nighttime television shows and can also be heard doing voice over work for amazing brands.
