Movie Moment - Claudine

I can hear it in my mind as I type this post, Gladys Knight's voice has come over my Ipod and I can here it now, "Keep away from here, Mr. Welfare." One of my favorite movies as a kid had to be the Oscar nominated "Claudine" starring Iconic actors Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones.

It was the story of a mother on welfare with six kids and how she falls in love with a local garbage man. That is just one of the plots in this amazing film. Ms. Carroll actually took over the role when her good friend actress Diana Sands had to drop out due to an illness. Sadly, Ms. Sands succumbed to cancer and Ms. Carroll most definitely did her justice.

Check out this intense scene where Claudine learns her boyfriend has gone missing, her son is angry and her daughter is pregnant.
