LIRM Movie Moment ~ A Soldier's Story

I had to be at least 13 or 14 years old and I was on the edge of my seat with the movie selection of the day. Many think that Sir Denzel Washington just came into his own dramatically over the last 10 years but we beg to differ.

I clearly remember watching "A Solider's Story" with my grandmom and having emotions that ran the gamut of anger, resentment, joy and sadness.  This amazing story that was based on a army base was spine tingling to say the least.

On actor in particular who never really received the proper accolades was that of Adolf Ceasar who played Sergeant Waters to the hilt. His character was multi dimensional and made you love and hate him all in the same breath.

Not only were these two heavy weights in this amazing production but you had the likes of Howard E. Rollins, Larry Riley, David Allan Grier as well as Patti Labelle to round out the cast.

The revelation of what transpired with Adolf's character's murder is amazing to watch. You must purchase this movie and watch it from beginning to end.  Check out some highlights that are sure to cause you to be glued to the computer screen.
