Melissa Rivers Tapped as New Host of Revamped Fashion Police

In a move that would surely impress her mother, Melissa Rivers has been tapped to take over the reigns of the top rated Fashion Police series.




Melissa, who is currently finishing up appearances promoting her book The Book Of Joan which chronicles her relationship with her late mother, is adding another gig to her already busy workout load by snagging the role of official host of Fashion Police.

Melissa Rivers will be the new co-host of E!'s "Fashion Police" when the popular comedy show returns Monday, August 31st. Rivers will appear alongside current panelists Giuliana Rancic and Brad Goreski, while continuing to serve as executive producer on the series. 

In each episode, the trio will be joined by two additional rotating celebrity guests, including comedians, stylists, actors and more. "Fashion Police" returns for six episodes surrounding some of the biggest fashion and pop culture events starting Monday, August 31st with coverage of MTV's Video Music Awards. 

"As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape 'Fashion Police' into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy," said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Programming and Development for E!. "We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the 'Fashion Police' cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode."
