"The Philly Factor Spotlights Phyllis Hyman & Donny Hathaway"

There is nothing like a good musical selection which takes you on a journey that is beyond belief. There are many artists that can do that such as Roberta Flack, Patti LaBelle, Teddy Pendergrass and many more.

Two artists in particular that have since passed away but whom have left a major imprint on music are none other than musical greats Donny Hathaway and Phyllis Hyman.

Many individuals consider many parralles with Sir Hathaway and Ms. Hyman but there is more to their brands than just the tragic consequences.





Thankfully LaSalle University managed to sit down with two individuals who knew each artists well and enlightened the viewer on what challenges, successes and struggles they each had to deal with. Its a riveting insight from Glenda Garcia, former manager of Phyllis and writer David Nathan who interviewed both artists.
