3rd Bass ~ "Gas Face Video"

Being a blogger of a certain age I can honestly say that music is not what it use to be. Never taking anything away from what is out now but we rap lovers always enjoyed a serious beat along with good words to back it all up.


One group who did not look they way they sounded was the always entertaining 3rd Bass. This group of guys, MC Serch, DJ Richie Rich and Prime Minister Pete Nice kept us hyped with joints such as Pop Goes the Weasel and my personal favorite The Gas Face. I even fashioned my high topped fade after MC Serch who always kept his style neat and trendsetting.

They eventually went their separate ways but have remained successful individually. Check out the lookback video of one of our favorite jams and see why they hit Billboard Music Rap Spot more than once.
