All Def Comedy Is Headed to HBO

Fresh off the heels of news dropping that Showtime At The Apollo is back wouldn't you know that we now hear that HBO is jumping into the game.

The network along with Russell Simmons are poised to bring back uber popular and culture driven Def Comedy Jam for one night only as All Def Comedy Jam. The stand up special, hosted by Tony Rock and directed by Stan Lathan, is based on All Def Comedy Live - a weekly comedy experience produced by All Def Digital Media which is headed by Simmons and is set to premiere November 12, 2016 at 10pm/11pm. 

Taped before a live audience the event will showcase veteran comedian Tony Roberts along with fresh talent discovered at ADD's weekly comedy showcase: Chris Powell, Zainab Johnson, Kevin Tate, and Robert Powell. 

Russell Simmons and Stan Lathan, along with ADD programming executives, Chris Conti and Jeru Tillman are executive directors.
