OWN Breakout Hit GREENLEAF is Most Watched New Cable Show of Summer

The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) new show Greenleaf is setting records and leaving it's viewers gasping for more. The series, centered around a Memphis mega-church and the first family, is ratings gold or shall we say GOD IS GOOD?

"OWN's hit drama series "Greenleaf" is the most watched new cable show of the summer, and year to date is the #1 original cable series on Wednesday nights for women. The series delivered record numbers with its season finale last night (8/31) with 2.4 million viewers and a 1.84 women 25-54 rating making it the network's most watched and highest rated Wednesday telecast in network history."

As we know veteran actress Lynn Whitfield was first on board as Lady Mae Greenleaf, a materialistic pastor's wife who plays the game to remain in her coveted position. It has been confirmed another veteran actor Keith David, has been added to the coveted role of Bishop James Greenleaf, the charming and charismatic but brilliantly manipulative leader of Greenleaf World Ministries.
